I struggled to find a title for this entry, but I think I got it right.

Brevity. Gravitas. Maybe a bit of mystery??

 Whatever.

We've come to a decision about our next stop as a family. Yes, the home.

It was not easy to come to the decision, but we think this place will be nice to go to. It's a little less than half the size of our house. It's part of a facility that starts with independent living and just keeps going, according to your need for support.

StoryPoint at Abbot Park, on Abbot, just south of the EL Water Park and north of Lake Lansing Rd. Plenty of nearby trails for me and Enzo, Meijer just down the road to the west, Costco to the east... so good geography, and we've gotten word that the care is great.  We don't need any support now, but, tick tock, right?

There are twenty (I think) of these units, two-by-two, so ten structures, on the property along with the "big house", which has multiple varieties of apartments, the dining space, and other amenities. Once we move, we can access the food at the big house, but we're told it's not so great. Living in one of the "villas", we have a full-sized kitchen, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, washer, dryer... and two-car garage, which I think is "ish", as in not two large vehicles, but maybe two VW bugs???

Anyway, here's the series of pix from their promo website(note, click on any pictures on this blog to enlarge)

Each unit is two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, living room, dining room, and kitchen.

The timing is a bit of an issue... we put down a deposit and wait for an opening. If we're not ready, or don't like the view, we can pass and wait for the next opening, and we would stay at the top of the list (once we get to the top of the list).

Here's their promo brochure, page one:

And promo brochure page two showing the floor plan (or click here if you would like to be able to actually [kinda sorta] read the room dimensions):
