As Morgan graduates...
Linda and I gave her and her family the biggest grad gift... not having to put up with me. Linda kept me at arm's length. First stop, refuel at one of our all-time faves:
Not that she wanted to cruise the Mag Mile. It was her sacrifice for the good of the cause.
Keep that in mind.
Second stop, Athleta. (Gentlemen, n.b.... ladies apparel). Where I dropped her off to find a spot to park. So when I get to the store, the clerks say, "Oh she's upstairs." And I'm like, well, quizzical. And three of them (3) say, "Yes, she said if a man comes in looking puzzled, that would be my husband."
I said, "Did she mention aged? Nerdy? Angry old white guy too?" O the mirth.
But remember, she didn't want to be here, just helping out the Kelley clan.
Ok, dropped a hundred. On to stop #3.
No we didn't do the Bloody Marys but had I known what was in store (he said, foreshadowing-ly).
It's in South Loop. If you are within a mile, go.
Then it was off to north of the river. To keep me occupied.

Where they were having a makeup "event". Where she had her face done. Where she dropped another C note. Where I was looked up and down.
Mostly by females.
OK then.
Next stop, Fourth Presbyterian. (Just a coincidence that it was stop #4. That is its real name). On North Michigan, north of the Hancock, ladies that would be north of Water Tower Place (OK, guys would know WTP also. I'm a sexist. But, in my defense, I don't care who is in the next stall.)
Next, Tiffany's. Every guy wants to go there, am I right? No pix. They had burly security guys at the front door and I didn't want my phone crushed in the confiscation process. But thanks for the tour, Linda.
Next, Saks Fifth. Which was stop #6 so yeah, my sequencing is screwed. Where yes, I did see some sunglasses. RayBan aviators, the smaller, MSU green reflective tint. $175. Passed, but I lusted in my heart.
Next, Apple store. Where I scoped out the new MacBook Pro 15 Retina 256 gig ss drive with 16 gigs of RAM.
Dropped $2,000.
Nah just kidding.
This tour wasn't really about me....
