The point of this post is to demo that, as good as the Pixel XL (better) and iPhone 7 (weakest) are, they do not compare in terms of color repro, depth, range, and many other photo pro terms I could throw out there but, alas, I'm not a pro.
So like booze tasters who note "hints of lavender and old leather", rather than ask them when last they actually tasted those from the primary sources, I'll just say, the Nikon is better and not engage anyone in a litany of descriptors.
And yes, I did do a blossom close-up. I like it very much:
